Choosing your sill

Confirm the product type

A window stool forms the interior ledge at the bottom of the window. This collection also includes a casing profile, so review each product title and description to confirm its intended role.

Check width & projection

Compare the profile width and thickness with your window opening and planned overhang. Measure the depth required and review the profile drawing if provided; nominal width alone does not confirm the fit.

Plan the finished length

Measure the opening and account for any end extensions, cuts, and adjoining casing. Review the available wood species and lengths. A five-inch sample helps you evaluate the unfinished material and edge detail.
