RETURNS

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of the delivery date to arrange a return or exchange of your item(s). Note that returns or exchanges are not accepted for special orders, items that have been installed, those that are no longer in their original packaging, or other items listed below. (Other exclusions may apply.)

Customers are required to return non-defective items to the warehouse at their own expense; we will not cover the cost of return shipping. We do not accept items in used condition, including those with pet hair, stains, or signs of abuse. To be eligible for return, items must be in as-new condition. Any damage, soiling, or visible signs of use will render the item non-returnable.

Upon return, your item will be inspected, and exchanges, credits, or refunds will be issued for the purchase price. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with applicable laws. Delivery fees are non-refundable, except in cases of manufacturer defects or transit damage.

Any returned item that was purchased and paid for using a debit, credit, or prepaid card will incur a 2.5% credit card processing fee. We cover a 2.5 to 3.0% expense for every item purchased through the credit card processor. Upon returning an item, this fee remains non-refundable to us. For instance, if you purchase a couch for $1,000, the fee will amount to $25. Consequently, your refund would be $975.00. Please understand that this fee is not intended as punitive; we sincerely appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

A 25% restocking fee will be applied to any non-defective items returned by the customer. Once issued to a customer, we cannot resell these items as new.

Please note that gift cards are non-returnable.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If your refund is approved, it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

In lieu of a full refund, partial refunds may be granted for items in as-new condition, but returned more than 14 days after delivery.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)
If you haven’t received your refund, please check with your bank and/or credit card company. Often, there is a processing time associated with refunds. If you’ve done this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at info@thecarpentryshopco.com. 

SALES ITEMS (IF APPLICABLE)
Only regular-priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

EXCHANGES (IF APPLICABLE)
We only replace items if they are received defective or damaged. If you need to exchange for the same item, send us an email at
info@thecarpentryshopco.com explaining your situation, and wait for further instructions.

DEFECTIVE ITEMS: In the unlikely event that you receive a defective product, we are happy to provide a prompt replacement or, in some cases, a repair (e.g., a broken couch leg or a missing button). Please take a few photos and send them to info@thecarpentryshopcom.com to file your claim within 24 hours of receipt of your delivery. Our team will assess the nature of the defect and work with you to determine the proper solution.

DAMAGED ITEMS (DUE TO SHIPPING):
Carefully inspect your package(s) upon delivery. If you notice any damage to the packaging, report it immediately to the delivery person and obtain a written record of the condition and/or note it on the bill of lading. You must file a claim with the shipping company. We will do our best to work with you in replacing your damaged item(s) as quickly as possible.

INSPECTION: Signature upon manifest, bill, or "Received by" acknowledges receipt of merchandise in full and in good condition by any authorized agent of the customer. Any damages must be noted on the bill of lading or manifest at the time of delivery upon inspection.

CLAIMS: For defective or damaged merchandise, a claim must be filed with customer service, notifying them of any missing parts/hardware, defective merchandise, or damage in transit within 24 hours of receipt. The Carpentry Shop Co. will repair or replace defective goods at no additional charge, provided the damage is caused by a manufacturer’s defect or error.

If a return is desired instead of a replacement, the Returns clause applies. There may be a restocking fee of 25%, and The Carpentry Shop Co.'s initial shipping and handling costs will be deducted from the credit.

WARRANTY: The Carpentry Shop Co. and its manufacturing partners warrant that its products will be free of defects and materials in workmanship for a period of one (1) year on all products. The Carpentry Shop Co. will replace any product that does not meet this express warranty. 

Products are not warranted against regular wear and tear, nor are they said to be of fitness for a particular use. EXCEPT FOR THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY, THE CARPENTRY SHOP CO. MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, CONCERNING THE PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT OR ANY AGREEMENT WITH THE CUSTOMER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR AGAINST INFRINGEMENT. CUSTOMER HEREBY WAIVES ANY CLAIM (INCLUDING ANY CLAIM BASED ON STRICT OR ABSOLUTE LIABILITY IN TORT) THAT IT MAY HAVE AGAINST THE CARPENTRY SHOP CO. FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OP INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE OR EXPENSE CAUSED BY THE PRODUCTS.

GIFTS
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will be notified about the return.

SHIPPING
To return your product, contact info@thecarpentryshopco.com for instructions and a return label. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refunded amount.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
