Gratitude Everywhere

Ah, November! The time of year when crisp mornings, early nights, and warm soup become the little luxuries I look forward to most. Sweater weather and homemade soup instantly bring me back to my childhood and my mother´s kitchen. I have the fondest memories of garlic and oregano dancing in the air, my mother lovingly making her favorite Puerto Rican dishes, and our excitement around the promise of our next Fall feast.  My favorites were her pollo guisado and sopa de pollo. I´ve found comfort in making these meals for my daughters and passing down our cultural traditions.

This time of year fills my heart and mind with warm memories of my mother and the loving imprint she left on mine, and so many lives. For me, the Fall season is filled with beautiful nostalgia–a heartfelt time for gathering and enjoying the harvest amongst those we love most.  From careful holiday planning to delectable menu preparations–everything about this joyful time of year is an integral part of our family company. We create fine home furnishings to gather, break bread, and create memories to last a lifetime.  Each piece is a vessel for connection and a tangible reminder to slow down, be present, and enjoy good company.

Taking a note from Mother Nature herself, we are also undergoing our own seasonal transition. It is with great pleasure to announce the evolution of our family-owned construction company, DCL Outdoor Landscaping.  Starting January 2023, DCL will become TCSC Outdoors and offer a beautiful array of custom and made-to-order outdoor furnishings.  With this transition, we have decided to focus our efforts on what we do best–design and fine wood sourcing–and move away from the installation process.  We are dedicated to offering our customers the very best indoor and outdoor wood furnishings and will continue our deep commitment to offering our community the highest level of customer support and quality craftsmanship.  We are excited to take this next step with you and look forward to learning about all your outdoor design needs.

Please feel free to contact our office with any questions or to simply say “hello!”

Wishing you and yours a beautiful harvest season!

The Lares Coffee Table is a slab-style coffee table named after a scenic mountain town in Puerto Rico. It features a single slab that is cut at a forty-five-degree angle to create a beautiful waterfall with the slab's natural curves on both ends. Voids and cracks are filled with the resin of your choice…
