Beautiful handmade Raffia fringe placemats are part of a collection in collaboration with Lenna Keshishian, exclusive designed and made for The Carpentry Shop Co. All items are made to order with a 3 week lead time. Made in America. These placemats would look perfect on any dinning table for everyday decor or for hosting a dinner party!
Lenna Keshishian is a textile artist and designer interested in creating work related to interior spaces. She received her Bachelor's degree from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and went on to obtain her MFA in Textiles from Parsons School of Design, The New School. Born and raised in New York, Lennas' stand out pieces are made bold by their combination of material choices and colors. Her intent to bring unique elements into design stems from her wonder of various textile techniques. Bridging the gap between fine art and design, Lenna hopes to revive appreciation for hand crafted objects by incorporating ancient techniques into fresh, modern designs.

I saw a similar oak slab desktop for sale, but it was too dark, so I contacted the shop to see if they could make something similar for me but lighter in color. Natalie was great to work with and kept me informed with photos and descriptions of what was happening with my desktop. They even managed to incorporate some of my custom requests and added slide-out writing boards on each side and attached an adjustable keyboard tray I found on Amazon.
